Call 866-428-4036 to learn about your options in a drug trafficking case
Our first option is to see if we can get rid of the evidence against you by attacking the search and seizure of the drugs on constitutional grounds. Were drugs found in your car after an unlawful traffic stop? Did a confidential informant lie in an affidavit supporting a search warrant? Did the officers who executed the warrant limit their search to the places identified in it? We analyze these questions carefully and do everything we can to keep the physical evidence of drugs out of the case against you. Without that evidence, the case will likely be dismissed.
We also fight marginal drug trafficking cases where the intent to sell is presumed from the amount of the drugs involved. In cases involving cocaine or heroin, that amount might be rather small. If we can get your case reduced to simple possession, we can often get your case diverted out of the criminal justice system altogether.
Drug trafficking cases can also be complicated by such circumstances as gang affiliations or third strike charges. These can result in a longer sentence if you're convicted. Additionally, if you have a prior record of drug possession or sales, don't think for a moment that the prosecution won't use this information to make it seem more likely that you're guilty of the new charges.
